Derek began his Disney career in 1999, in Chicago as the Marketing Manager with Walt Disney Parks & Resorts.
In 2007, Derek joined Disney Vacation Club (DVC) as part of the pioneering team at Doorway to Dreams, DVC’s preview center located outside of Chicago. There he was the top performer each year and lead presenter for signature live events.
In 2014, Derek joined the DVC Cruise team where he continued his strong performance. As a DVC Cruise Team Member he was chosen to present on multiple DVC Member Cruises as well as provide coaching and training to new DVC Cast Members. Over the years, Derek has received multiple awards for his performance, including the prestigious Leadership Circle and multiple Partners in Excellence nominations.
Derek his wife Anne are the proud parents of Owen and Connor and live in downtown Windermere, Florida. DVC members since 1999, Derek’s favorite Disney memory was having his high school sweetheart Annie say “I do” back in 1996 at their wedding at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion.
