Beyond the 2042 Resorts: DVC Resorts to Stretch Your Points

With DVC, the lower the points chart, the more stays that you can get out of your points! DVC Points charts tend to be lowest at the oldest resorts with deeds expiring in 2042. These include:
- Beach Club
- BoardWalk
- Boulder Ridge
- Hilton Head
- Old Key West (except for contracts extended to 2057)
- Vero Beach
However, these are not the only resorts with low-points charts. Here are a few DVC Resorts that can make for great home resorts with low points charts but with longer deeds that expire after 2042.
Saratoga Springs
If you’re looking to get a longer contract with a low points chart, Saratoga Springs is a good option. Not only is it consistently among the most economical DVC resorts, but its deed expires in 2054, which gives you 12 more years to enjoy your points compared to a 2042 home resort. Standard Deluxe Studios at Saratoga Springs go for as little as 9 points per night!
When you need a larger accommodation for a bigger travel party, the unique Three Bedroom Treehouse Villas are hard to beat; they can sleep up to 9 guests but start at only 38 points per night. At many newer DVC resorts, you can’t even book a Two Bedroom Villa for 38 points.

Animal Kingdom Villas
With Animal Kingdom Villas, the deed expires in 2057. When you look at the points chart, the first thing you may notice is the astoundingly low point value of the Value Deluxe Studios at Jambo House, which start at 8 points a night. However, it’s important to realize that there are only 18 of these rooms, and they are incredibly hard to book, even for DVC Members who own points at Animal Kingdom Villas and have that 7- to 11-month home resort booking window.
Even if you can’t book a Value Deluxe Studio, the Resort View Deluxe Studios at Animal Kingdom Villas are a great deal. They start as low as 10 points per night! Note that Jambo House and Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Villas are separate buildings but share the same points chart.

Copper Creek
Having opened in 2017, Copper Creek is still a relatively new resort, and its deed doesn’t expire until 2068. However, its points chart is notably lower than most other DVC resorts that have opened in the last decade. A look at Copper Creek’s points chart shows that it largely matches the points chart of its neighbor at Wilderness Lodge, Boulder Ridge. With stays at Deluxe Resorts starting as low as 13 points a night, the Copper Creek point chart is very reasonable.

Old Key West (Extended Contracts)
One anomaly among the older DVC Resorts is Old Key West. While many of the contracts there expire in 2042, there are some that were extended to 2057. If you can find one of the rarer extended contracts, you can enjoy the low Old Key West points chart through 2057. Deluxe Studios start at 9 points per night, and even the largest accommodations, the Three-Bedroom Grand Villa, starts at only 46 points per night! At most newer DVC Resorts, a Three Bedroom Grand Villa easily goes for well over 100 points per night.
