The Seller of this contract resides outside of the United States. Per the FIRPTA Act 15% of the sale price will be withheld from the Seller's proceeds by the title company and remitted to the IRS at closing. Purchasing through the DVC Resale Market gives Buyers assurance that this important step is addressed in the contract and settled at closing (many Brokers do not).
