A New Fort Wilderness Pool Is Coming Soon

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness is the newest DVC resort, and soon it will have a brand new pool!  Here’s what we know about the project based on permits that Disney has filed with the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.

Where Will the New Pool Be Located?

The new zero-entry pool will be next to the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool as part of an expansion that will double the capacity of the area for more guests to enjoy.  The expansion includes a larger deck area and a 5,500 square foot building that will have a restroom and pool equipment.

This expansion is in addition to the existing infrastructure, including the feature pool with its 67-foot corkscrew waterslide, whirlpool spa, fort-themed splash pad for little ones, and the nearby snack shop.

Other Amenities Are Included in This Project

Besides this new pool, the expansion project will add a tennis court and two pickleball courts for additional recreation activities and more outdoor fun at Fort Wilderness.

While no opening date has been announced for the new pool, it will be accessible to all guests at Fort Wilderness, including those who stay at the DVC cabins.  In addition to the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and new pool, guests can enjoy the more peaceful Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool, which is located closer to the cabins.  The Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool is a leisure pool with a nearby whirlpool spa.
