Napa Rose Reopens at the Grand Californian

After an extensive renovation, the Grand Californian’s signature restaurant, Napa Rose, has reopened!  The beautifully refreshed space has been modernized, but it still retains its California Craftsman aesthetic.  From renovated seating areas to the updated menu of wine country cuisine, here’s what you can look forward to during your next meal at the award-winning Napa Rose.

Bar and Lounge

If you just want to stop by Napa Rose at the last minute, head to the new bar and lounge.  Walk-ins are welcome there.  You can enjoy a spot at the bar, by the cozy new fireplace, or on the renovated outdoor patio.  While dropping in at the bar and lounge, you can savor crafted cocktails, wine, and small bites from the à la carte menu, such as beef tartare with Osetra caviar, bone marrow custard, and laughing tiger (a twist on the former smiling tiger salad).  This menu will rotate seasonally.

Main Dining Room and Outdoor Terrace

The main dining room offers indoor seating where guests are surrounded by the restaurant’s vast wine collection of more than 1,500 wine labels from around the world and outdoor seating on the expanded terrace, which is inspired by the al fresco dining of wine country and offers views of Disney California Adventure.  When dining in the main dining room or terrace you can enjoy a seasonal prix fixe menu with optional wine pairings.  Kids 9 and under have their own special menu.

Some of the main dining room menu items include:

  • American Wagyu N.Y. served medium rare with a grape fennel mustardo
  • Oak Roasted Forest Mushrooms
  • Sorpresine Pasta served with Dungeness crab and Santa Barbara uni butter
  • Nantes Carrot Cake Cremeux
  • Elevated and Reminiscent Valrhona Chocolate Bar

The main dining room menu is $188 per person.  While a limited number of same-day reservations may be available, it’s highly recommended that you make advance reservations up to 60 days in advance at Disneyland.com or NapaRose.com.

Chef’s Counter and Private Dining Room

For a unique culinary experience, you and up to 18 guests can dine on a personalized prix fixe meal at the Chef’s Counter with a view of the exhibition kitchen.  The menu at the Chef’s Counter starts at $250 per person.  Napa Rose also has a private dining room available to groups of up to 16 guests that’s perfect for special occasions.  You can book the private dining room or Chef’s Counter by going to NapaRose.com.
