New Lounge, Shopping, and Dining Announced for the BoardWalk!

Exciting news for BoardWalk fans: Disney has just announced some new additions that will likely take over the former locations of Jellyrolls, the Promenade Fine Art Gallery, and Big River Grille & Brewing Works! From a new lounge to more dining, here’s what you can look forward to at the BoardWalk.  

Hurly-Burly Lounge

Adding to the BoardWalk’s lively atmosphere will be Hurly-Burly, a new seaside lounge at the former Jellyrolls location. During the afternoon, the Hurly Burly will host family-friendly games and trivia. At night, the Hurly-Burly will transition to a live music venue for guests 21 and over. It will offer “coastal-inspired” cocktails, light bites, and musical entertainment.

Basin on the BoardWalk

Also coming to the BoardWalk is Basin on the BoardWalk, which will sell a collection of natural soaps, botanical bath salts, bath bombs, body butters, and more. Guests may already be familiar with the retailer the Basin from its locations at Disney Springs and the Grand Floridian. Unique to this location at the BoardWalk will be interactive elements such as a custom bath tea blending counter, a make-your-own-soap station, and a soap embossing press for personalization. While not confirmed, this new shop may be coming to the former location of the Promenade Fine Art Gallery. A recent filing had referred to it as “Project Bubbles.”

New Quick Service Restaurant

Perhaps most exciting of all is that a new quick restaurant is coming to the BoardWalk! While the BoardWalk has the BoardWalk Deli for sandwiches and Carousel Coffee for coffee and pastries, a true quick-service location has long been on the wish list of many BoardWalk fans. Disney has not yet provided any details on the new restaurant but has shared that more information will come later this summer. It will likely be located where Big River Grille & Brewing Works once was.
