What DVC Members Love About Disney’s Beach Club Villas

Looking for a vacation that combines the magic of Disney and the laid-back luxury of a New England seaside resort? We’ve got the perfect resort for you – Disney’s Beach Club Villas! Pack your beach towels and your wide-brimmed hat, and let’s explore this beloved (and incredibly popular) resort.

Location

One of the reasons that Disney’s Beach Club is so popular among DVC Members is the resort’s proximity to EPCOT. Those wishing to visit the World Showcase and beyond only have to take a left out of the lobby and walk about seven minutes to arrive at the International Gateway. This makes the resort perfect for EPCOT festivals – like Food & Wine!

The resort is also close to Disney’s Hollywood Studio. Guests can access this park via the Disney Skyliner, Friendship Boats, or a walking path that runs behind Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.

Room Features

The New England seaside resort vibe of the Beach Club is carried through into its DVC villas. The villas feature soft blue hues, white tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, and an overall light, bright, and airy vibe. Recently, the villas have been undergoing a soft goods refurbishment. In addition to a refresh of the paint and linens, couch beds have been replaced by the guest-preferred Murphy beds. See a preview of the newly refreshed villas here!

Dining

Guests looking for a quick bite for breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Head to Beach Club Marketplace. Breakfast includes the classics (think Mickey waffles), while the lunch and dinner menu features sandwiches, pasta, and salads. Plenty of grab-and-go options are also available. This quick-service location shares space with the resort’s gift shop, so guests can get snacks and souvenirs in one stop!

Beach Club is home to the ever-popular Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. Taking guests back to the soda counters and diners of the 50s, this location serves up American classics…and massive ice cream specialties. Guests can enjoy the signature Reuben Sandwich for lunch or dinner, then end their meal with one of the many sundaes or milkshakes. Traveling with a big group (or have a big appetite)? Order the gigantic Kitchen Sink Sundae!

Guests that love character dining will have a ball at Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Café. Minnie and her friends great guests in their beachside best, while guests enjoy a buffet of breakfast classics. While the characters do not appear at Cape May Café for dinner, guests will be very delighted by the Seafood-and-More Buffet.

Just down the hall from the lobby and Cape May Café is a tucked-away lounge, perfect for winding down after a long day in the parks. Martha’s Vineyard boasts a menu of signature cocktails, mocktails, and appetizers. Guests who prefer their libations poolside will love Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill, just beside Stormalong Bay. This bar’s signature cocktail is the Category 5, and it definitely packs a punch!

Resort Activities & Amenities

The crown jewel of Disney’s Beach Club Resort is Stormalong Bay, which is more of a water park than a feature pool! This pool area features a sand-bottomed pool, lazy river, three whirlpool spas, elevated tanning deck, and a 230-foot pirate ship waterslide. Poolside cabanas are also available for booking. Guests could literally spend their entire vacation here and have a blast! (Please note that Stormalong Bay will be closed for refurbishment from January 2025 through May 2025.)

Guests wishing to have a more relaxed poolside experience can enjoy the Tidal Pool beside Crescent Lake or the Dunes Cove Pool beside the Villas building.

In addition to its amazing pools, Beach Club offers several great recreation options. Lafferty Place Arcade features new and classic arcade games. Sailors at heart can rent motorized boats, and anglers can enjoy fishing in Crescent Lake during guided fishing excursions. When the sun goes down, guests can gather around a campfire on the beach or enjoy Movies Under the Stars.

For guests who wish to maintain their fitness routine, Beach Club has a great fitness center – Ship Shape Massage Salon Fitness. Cardio equipment includes treadmills, ellipticals, stair climbers and stationery bikes. Weight-training guests will be especially happy to see several weight machines, as well as free weights, available for their use. Guests can also enjoy a jog around Crescent Lake, or play a game of tennis or volleyball.

Looking for another fun activity for the whole family? Head over to Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf, located next to the Swan & Dolphin. This mini golf location features two 18-hole courses themed to the Disney classic, Fantasia!
