Which Areas Are Considered Preferred at Saratoga Springs?

Saratoga Springs Resort Spa DVC resort at Walt Disney World

Saratoga Springs is one of the largest DVC resorts. It is made up of 5 sections (excluding the Treehouse Villas): The Carousel, Congress Park, The Grandstand, The Paddock, and The Springs. These sections are categorized into Standard or Preferred. When you book a room at Saratoga Springs, you’ll choose between Standard or Preferred, but which areas of the resort are considered Preferred and what are the advantages of staying there?

Congress Park

Among the two Preferred sections of Saratoga Springs, Congress Park is a popular choice.  For those who love to eat and shop, a major highlight of staying at Saratoga Springs is being close to Disney Springs. If you want the shortest distance to Disney Springs, the best area for you within Saratoga Springs is Congress Park. From Congress Park, you can take the walking path straight to the Marketplace section of Disney Springs–there’s no need to wait for a bus!

In terms of amenities, Congress Park has its own leisure pool with a playground and grilling area.

The Springs

The Springs is the other Preferred area within Saratoga Springs. It’s the perfect place to be if you want to be closest to the resort’s amenities at the Carriage House! At the Carriage House is the lobby, Artist’s Palette (the quick service restaurant and shop), as well as the table service restaurant Turf Club Bar & Grill, and Turf Club Lounge.

For more laid-back stays, The Springs can be a great location since it’s near the High Rock Spring Pool, the resort’s feature pool. The zero-entry High Rock Spring Pool has a 128-foot-long water slide and two whirlpool spas. Little ones will love the Donald Duck water play area and kiddie water slide. When you’re ready for a drink or bite to eat, head to the On the Rocks pool bar. Also by The Springs are the Health Club, Horsing Around Rentals, and Community Hall where you’ll find lots of crafts and games for a fun resort day.

Lastly, The Springs may not be as close to Disney Springs as Congress Park, but you are only a short boat ride away!  You can catch the boat to Disney Springs near The Carriage House.
