DVC Resorts with the Best Quick Service Options

When you’re looking for fast and convenient dining on your Disney vacation, quick service restaurants are the way to go.  However, the quick service options aren’t exactly equal across all DVC Resorts.  Here are the Disney World DVC Resorts with the best quick service restaurants.  

For Crave-Worthy Dishes: Polynesian

The Polynesian has some fan favorite menu items that are must-eats!  If you have a sweet tooth, try the banana-stuffed, cinnamon-sugar-topped Tonga Toast for breakfast at Capt. Cook’s.  At lunch or dinner, the Thai coconut meatballs, aloha pork sandwich, and pulled pork nachos are delicious options when you’re looking for something beyond your standard quick service fare.

At the Polynesian, you also have the option to mobile order food to go from Kona Cafe and Wailulu Bar & Grill.  This lets you get favorites like macadamia nut pancakes, the wayfinder burger, and pineapple-coconut bread pudding with the convenience of quick service dining.

For a Fast-Casual Experience: Riviera

Just as Riviera Resort is inspired by the European Riviera, so is the menu at Primo Piatto.  In addition to Mickey waffles and a breakfast platter, you’ll find a croque madame, breakfast panini, and a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant for breakfast.  For lunch and dinner, there’s pepperoni or margherita pizza, beef bolognese, tuna Niçoise salad, and a grilled chicken sandwich.

Primo Piatto offers a more leisurely setting with indoor seating and a fast-casual experience.  You can place your order at a cashier or via My Disney Experience, but unlike other quick service locations, a cast member will bring your food to your table with real plates and silverware if you choose to dine in.  

For the More Adventurous Palette: Animal Kingdom Villas

The Mara at Jambo House offers a good variety of dishes for more adventurous eaters.  While breakfast has slightly more standard fare, lunch and dinner are what set The Mara apart from most other quick service restaurants.  You’ll find a tamarind barbecue pork sandwich, bowls with chermoula-spiced shrimp, harissa-spiced beef, or South African vegetables and a falafel platter with tabbouleh and a cucumber-tomato salad.  Some of these dishes may also appeal to more health-conscious diners. If you have pickier eaters in your party, don’t worry; you’ll still find some simpler options like a cheese flatbread, chicken strips, or cheddar burger.

For those who love the Zebra Domes (chocolate mousse domes with Amarula cream liquor) from Boma, you’ll be happy to know that The Mara sells them too.  

The Mara is also convenient since it has plenty of indoor seating.  You never really have to worry about finding a table.  

For the View: Grand Floridian

The Grand Floridian is better known for its incredible signature dining restaurants like Victoria & Albert’s, Narcoosee’s, and Citricos, but its quick service restaurant, Gasparilla Island Grill is still a solid choice with its wide variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  In addition to the standard burgers and chicken, there are flatbreads, a choose-your-own salad, and bowls with barbacoa, chicken, or tofu.  It’s always worth saving room for dessert since you’ll often find special seasonal treats made in-house by the Grand Floridian Bakery.

What makes Gasparilla Island Grill unique is its outdoor seating by the marina.  While it has picturesque views of Cinderella Castle during the daytime, this also means it has a perfect vantage point for watching Happily Ever After at night.  You can also hear the nighttime spectacular’s soundtrack from there.  It’s fireworks view dining without a reservation!
