DVC Resale Average Sales Prices for November 2020
This article features the average sales price of contracts categorized by resort and month sold from November 2019 through November 2020 by DVC Resale Market (DVCRM). Our goal for this article is to provide great directional information for anyone considering a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resale purchase or just wanting to satisfy a general curiosity of prices and trends.
Keep in mind that the price of a resort can still easily vary based on the size of the contract in points, the current point availability of the contract (i.e., points current, banked and borrowed) as well as other various factors (i.e., extended Old Key West contracts, subsidized dues contracts, etc.). For example, contracts that are smaller and have higher points availabilities tend to sell for more than the average price per point and vice versa.
Could DVC Resale Prices Actually Finish 2020 Higher than 2019?
Remarkably when taking a simple average of the average DVC Resort selling prices for November ’20 vs. November ’19, the average price is $129/pt. vs. $125/pt. This increase doesn’t come as a huge surprise to us at DVCRM as we’ve witnessed demand for DVC Resale stay incredibly strong through such a difficult year. In fact, sales for 2020 are likely to be within 4% of their 2019 numbers at DVCRM.
As mentioned in last month’s average price report even at the height of Disney closures during the pandemic this past spring, Disney average monthly resale prices dropped less than 5% from their marks at the beginning of the year. This impressive demand and selling price resiliency speaks a lot to the optimism from the Disney fan base and certainly strength of the Disney brand.
