DVC Resale Market Adds Nearly 50 Years of Direct DVC Experience to the Team

Despite the challenges the year 2020 has brought the world and the travel industry specifically, DVC Resale Market (DVCRM) continued a steady path of growth and in the second half of the year, significant growth.  With that being said, the need to add new Team Members was apparent.

At DVCRM, we feel humbled and honored to be able to welcome not just one, but two All-Time Perennial DVC Performers to the team.  Linda Smit and Randy Cook bring nearly 50 years of combined direct DVC experience and their combined total sales numbers from Disney Vacation Club is just shy of 200 million. This now brings the overall DVC Resale Market Team to over 150 years of combined direct DVC experience with over 850 million in combined DVC sales, made up of 16 former DVC Cast Members, including 13 former DVC Guides.

Getting to Know Linda Smit

Linda began her Disney career with Disney Vacation Club in Aug 1995, as part of the grand opening team of DVC’s first off-site DVC resort, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. She quickly became the #1 sales guide there in her 6 year tenure. She was also asked to head up the new guide mentor program and loved helping her fellow guides to become their very best.  It was in Vero, she earned the status of Sr. Disney Vacation Club Guide, and purchased her first DVC contract in 1998.

In 2016, Linda was the #1 DVC Sales Guide among her peers across all channels of the organization.  Linda was bestowed the prestigious honor of Disney Vacation Club Sales Career Recognition recipient in 2017.

Originally from Indiana, Linda prefers the quiet of small towns and lives in Howey in the Hills, FL with her dogs, Rufus, Jack, Macho, and Michonne.  She also has horses and is an avid equestrian. To learn more about Linda, please see her bio.

Getting to Know Randy Cook

Randy began his Disney Vacation Club career back in 1996.  He has worked giving in-person tours at Walt Disney World, the cruise team and ended his career with a 10-year stint in the Telesales department. During his 24-year tenure as a Vacation Club Guide he has received multiple awards from the Purpose Award, Rookie of the year 1996, 41-time quarterly award winner, 10-time Leadership Circle recipient, and also honored to receive the coveted Partners in Excellence award.

Randy and his wife Carol live in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando where they are raising their two wonderful children Connor and Greylynn.  They have been DVC members since 1998 and have used their membership to vacation all over the world.  To learn more about Randy, please see his bio.
