Everything You Need to Know About Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Get ready for an enchanting dip into the heart of the bayou as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure makes its much-anticipated debut at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World on June 28, 2024. Mark your calendars and gear up for a whirlwind of events leading up to the grand opening! Here is everything you need to know that we’ve learned about this exciting new attraction!

Sneak Peeks and Preview Events

Before the grand curtains lift on June 28th, a series of preview events have been scheduled to whisk away guests into Tiana’s world a bit early:

• Cast Member Magic: The first whispers of the bayou come to life with exclusive previews for Cast Members in early June, setting the stage for all the magic that’s to follow.
• Disney Vacation Club Member Exclusives: DVC Members, mark your calanders for June 12th and June 19th, 2024. With two preview windows from 1 PM to 4 PM EST and 9 AM to 12 PM EST, respectively, members with qualifying resort reservations will get a first glimpse of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Early registration is a must for these DVC previews and kicks off on May 16th at 10 AM EST. Also, sadly these events are only open to qualifying direct members.
• Annual Passholder Days: No registration, no worries! Annual Passholders can join the fun through a virtual queue on June 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, and 20 at the Magic Kingdom park.
• A Dazzling D23 Celebration: This summer, The Princess and the Frog fans rejoice with D23 Member events celebrating 15 years of this beloved story. Kick off with a theatrical screening, enjoy a Mardi Gras-inspired cookie, and be among the first to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure during a special evening filled with live jazz and delicious treats.

Join the Virtual Queue

Post-launch, joining Tiana’s party will be a breeze with a virtual queue system in place from day one similar to other attractions such as TRON Lightcycle / Run or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Guests can hop onto the My Disney Experience app at 7 a.m. or 1 p.m. to join. And though the standby queue takes a little breather initially, it plans to say hello soon after the grand opening.

Lightning Lane Access

Through Disney Genie+ service, you can snag a Lightning Lane for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, ensuring a swifter voyage into the bayou while also enjoying digital downloads of select Disney PhotoPass attraction photos – all at an added convenience.

Height Requirements and Disability Access

To ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, guests must be at least 40 inches (102 cm) tall to enjoy Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

The ride and queue are accessible by wheelchair; however, previously, guests needed to transfer down a step to board the ride vehicle. It is unknown at this time whether any enhancements have been made to improve access further!

Please note that service animals are not permitted on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

On-Ride Disney PhotoPass

On your way to the big party, get ready for a special Disney PhotoPass moment that captures you almost there, and yes, a splash surprise awaits, hinting at a delightful spritz or a splash as you join Tiana’s festive gathering.

Exclusive Merchandise and Scrumptious Bites

No adventure is complete without treasures and treats:

• Swampy Souvenirs: Starting June 28, swing by the Emporium at Magic Kingdom and Critter Co-Op in Frontierland soon after, to grab your Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and The Princess and the Frog inspired merchandise.
• Tiana’s Famous Beignets: Last but certainly not least, indulge in the sweet sensation of Tiana’s Famous Beignets at Golden Oak Outpost and The Friar’s Nook. Drizzled with honey and powdered sugar, these beignets promise a taste of the bayou magic.
