How to Make a DVC Reservation Online

If you’re new to DVC and researching all the ins and outs of using points, you may be wondering: What is it like to book a DVC reservation?  How different is it from making a regular cash reservation on the Disney website?  Since you can’t access the “Book a Vacation” section of the DVC website without being a Member with a login, here’s a look at how the process works. 

Go to the Book a Vacation Planning Tool

Once you sign into the DVC website, go to the Plan a Vacation section of the website and choose Book a Vacation.   

Enter Your Search Parameters

Your first step will be to enter the number of adults, children (ages 3-17), and infants (0-2) in your travel party.  You’ll then select your check-in and check-out dates, room type, and resorts that you would like to include in your search.  

View the Available Rooms

The next page will show all the available options and how many points they cost.  Click on the room you want, and hit continue.  If you have more than one DVC contract, you’ll need to indicate which one you would like to use to make the reservation.  

Enter the Guest Info

Next, you’ll enter your name and contact info plus the names and contact info for your guests.  

Book the Room

Review the information you have for the reservation and then select “Book This Room.”

And voilà!  You can start counting down to your next vacation!  It’s that simple.  All in all, booking a trip on the DVC website may look a little different from booking a cash reservation on the Disney website, but it’s very straightforward.  Should you run into any issues or more complex booking scenarios, it can help to contact Member Services for assistance. 

Afterwards, be sure to take your reservation number and link it to your My Disney Experience account to add it to your plans since that is not automatically added.  Under My Plans in My Disney Experience, select Resort Hotel and then Link a Reservation.  You’ll just need the reservation confirmation number and last name on the reservation to add it.
