Welcome to the News You Need! The holidays are in full swing at the Disney parks and all kinds of announcements have hit the wires that will affect the way you do Disney. We’ve got the scoop, so let’s jump in!
Elena of Avalor meets at Disneyland’s Festival of Holidays! Disneyland is bringing all kinds of awesome holiday entertainment including bands, singers, shows, the wildly popular ¡Viva Navidad! and a Princess Elena of Avalor meet and greet in the Festival of Holidays. For all the details, click here. And for those of you looking to meet Elena at Walt Disney World, she’s now featured in the lineup at Princess Fairytale Hall!
Magicbands Get a Revamp. Puck style. Magicband Tech is taking a leap ahead! Check out the new “puck” tech that debuted at D23 that’s interchangeable between bands and other great holders like key fobs! The new bands begin mailing to annual passholders December 2016, and resort guests in January 2017. Retail bands available January 2017 with accessories like the key fob. The “puck” is held in place by two screws on each band or accessory. Learn more about “Magicband 2” here.
A Walt Disney World Ticket Deal through May The “4-Park Magic Ticket” grants you one day of admission to Magic Kingdom park, one day of admission to Epcot, one day of admission to Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park and one day of admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on 4 separate days and is just $279 for adults and $259 for kids. This ticket may not be used to enter the same park more than once and some blackout dates apply. Get more details here.
Purchase from November 15, 2016 through March 5, 2017. Tickets are not valid for admission on any of the following blockout dates: December 17, 2016 through January 2, 2017 and April 10 through April 21, 2017.
A New Festival for Epcot! Epcot International Festival of the Arts debuts in early 2017! From January 13 to February 20 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, guests will be treated to culinary, visual, and performing arts with Broadway-caliber talent at the America Gardens Theatre, new food offerings throughout the World Showcase, and art demonstrations from world class artists.
New Amenities for Wilderness Lodge and Boulder Ridge Villas! New restaurants, amenities, and a complete revamp of the pool area are coming to Wilderness Lodge and Boulder Ridge Villas. Disney says, “A sweeping re-imagination of the former Hidden Springs Pool area will help tell the richly layered backstory of Boulder Ridge. Beyond the new pool space, scheduled enhancements to the resort are “chugging along” and include a brand-new bar & grill, in addition to a quick-service restaurant. Geyser Point Bar & Grill will be located in the heart of the feature pool area of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, where Members and guests can grab a bite to eat as they lounge by the resort’s main pool.”
