New Dining and Recreation Amenities Announced for Polynesian Island Tower

DVC has shared some exciting details about the upcoming Island Tower that will be added to the Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.  With the new tower, DVC Members and guests alike can look forward to a new restaurant and recreational areas.

New Pool Area

The Island Tower will have the new Cove Pool, which will include a courtyard with a sandy beach, whirlpool spa, and beautiful views of the Seven Seas Lagoon.  For younger guests, there will be a new splash pad called Moana’s Voyage.  It will feature a figure of Moana and her outrigger canoe with lots of fun water features.

Within the Island Tower, guests can dine at Wailulu Bar & Grill, which will offer on-the-go breakfast and an all-day lunch and dinner menu.  It will also serve as a walk-up pool bar and grill for the Cove Pool.  This restaurant celebrates the beauty of the islands with banquette seating surrounded by flowing water and a lava rock-inspired bar.  From Wailulu Bar & Grill, diners will be able to enjoy stunning fireworks views of the Magic Kingdom!

Fitness Center

Plans for new fitness center

The Island Tower will also have a fitness center.  This will be a great addition to the Polynesian, which currently does not have its own fitness center.  Once the Island Tower opens, guests at the Polynesian will no longer have to visit the fitness center at the Grand Floridian.

All of these newly announced amenities are in addition to the existing dining and recreation options at the Polynesian.  With the Island Tower being part of the same condo association as the current Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, guests can enjoy the convenient amenities of both areas, including dining in the Great Ceremonial House like ‘Ohana, Kona Cafe, and Capt. Cook’s as well as the Lava and Oasis Pools.

Now is a great time to purchase a resale contract at the Polynesian, so you can enjoy all that the resort has to offer, including the new Island Tower!  Browse the Polynesian contract listings to get started.
