Room Requests at Disney’s Old Key West

While not guaranteed, room requests can help increase your odds of staying where you prefer within a resort. When you check in online or via the My Disney Experience app for your Old Key West stay, you’re given a few different options. There are some broad requests, such as ground floor, high floor, near bus stop, or near pool.  

If not booking a room from the Near Hospitality House category, you can request specific sections of the resort like the Miller’s Road Area, Old Turtle Pond Road Area, Peninsular Road Area, and South Point Road Area. Which of these areas within Old Key West is best for you and your travel party?

Miller’s Road Area

If you weren’t able to book a room near Hospitality House, the Miller’s Road Area can be a good alternative. It includes Buildings 15-22 and 62-64 and is still fairly close to Hospitality House where the lobby and most of the resort’s amenities are located. This area also has its own leisure pool, whirlpool spa, barbecue area, and laundry room. If you or someone in your travel party cannot use the stairs, or you are traveling with stroller-aged children, Miller’s Road includes the only buildings at Old Key West that have elevators (Buildings 62-64).

Old Turtle Pond Road Area

The Old Turtle Pond Road Area encompasses Buildings 30-44. Despite not being as close to Hospitality House as some of the other areas, it’s a popular request among guests due to its wider range of amenities. Besides having a leisure pool, whirlpool spa, and laundry room, it is also home to the Turtle Shack Snack Bar that’s open for lunch and snacks and the Flying Fish game room. In addition, the Old Turtle Pond Road Area offers a playground, barbecue area, tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, and shuffleboard court.

Peninsular Road Area

This area includes Buildings 27-29. Like the Miller’s Road Area, the Peninsular Road Area is relatively close to Hospitality House, which makes it a convenient location. Another perk of staying in this small section of Old Key West is that it is the first bus stop when you are heading to the theme parks.  

South Point Road Area

The South Point Road Area has Buildings 45-56. It’s the area that is furthest from Hospitality House, but some of its buildings offer picturesque views of the Trumbo Canal, and you can walk to Saratoga Springs from the walkway near Building 55. Another nice amenity is the playground near Building 56. Like some of the other areas at Old Key West, South Point Road offers a leisure pool, whirlpool spa, and laundry room.
