The Most Beautiful Disney Vacation Club Resorts

Sometimes, we should all stop and smell the roses. That’s particularly true for Disney Vacation Club members, as we tend to fixate on our park visits. For this reason, we sometimes take for granted our gorgeous surroundings. Well, let’s fix that now! Which are the most beautiful DVC properties? Here are my picks.

Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas

Who doesn’t love Hawaii? For generations now, mainland Americans and tourists across the globe have dreamt of a Hawaiian vacation.

DVC members can bring those dreams to life by traveling to Aulani, Disney’s breathtaking beachfront resort. Located on the luscious white sand lagoon of Ko Olina, Aulani personifies paradise.

Disney Legend Joe Rohde, who grew up in Hawaii, designed this property. He wanted guests across the resort to enjoy the best possible views of the ocean. Then, he doubled down by crafting tranquil gardens, pools, and rivers to accentuate the island vibes.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas

On the continent of Africa, countries like Kenya host national reserves called maras. Disney drew so much inspiration from these places that Animal Kingdom Villas even includes a restaurant called The Mara. That’s important to this discussion due to the entire infrastructure at these twin hotels.

Disney traveled to African countries, took note of their architecture, especially the décor, and then recreated those elements on a grand scale. You’ll know this the moment you enter Jambo House’s majestic lobby.

I consider it one of the most serene places at Walt Disney World and have fallen asleep here on several occasions. That’s by design, and it circles back to the naming. Disney wants its guests to feel at one with nature while visiting here.

The animals are obviously the most essential part of that feeling. But the hotel offers much more. It’s a familial property brimming with color and spirit. There’s a reason why so many DVC members rank it as their favorite. Animal Kingdom Villas is the warmest of all DVC properties and possesses an intrinsic, inimitable beauty, the kind that comes from comfort.

Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort

Some of the resorts on this list possess an unfair advantage. We all love the water, which explains why beach tourism has remained dominant for generations now.

For this reason, I favor the resorts with beachy/oceanic themes. You won’t find Disney’s Beach Club Villas on this list, though, as it’s a bit more insular than these other options. I prefer the grandeur of Hilton Head Island Resort, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding waters and marshes.

Due to local ordinances, the entirety of Hilton Head is pristine, with no ugly neon signs in sight. So, Disney’s hotel is a picturesque slice of Heaven that extends to the nearby Beach House.

Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

I suspect that if we polled DVC fans about the most beautiful resorts, Animal Kingdom Villas would win. It seems to emerge victorious in all these public votes. Personally, I’d go a different way, though.

I’m on record as saying that the Polynesian exemplifies the best of Disney. As Imagineers prepped Walt Disney World, they created two resorts, the first ones Disney had ever built.

From day one, everyone involved with these projects knew that one was better. That’s why Disney directed all the media representatives and celebrities to the Polynesian in 1971. It was a fabulous example of Disney theming, an island paradise just a quick monorail ride from Magic Kingdom.

We’re now 55 years past that point, yet nothing has changed. In fact, Cast Members have dutifully cultivated the foliage here to make it even more attractive.

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort

The resplendent shores of the Treasure Coast deserve a mention on this list as well. By now, my appreciation for sandy beaches should be readily apparent. Even by those standards, Vero Beach stands out for its sumptuous views.

The Sunshine State hosts some of the most beloved beaches in the world, as demonstrated by lists like this one. For my money, Vero Beach rivals any of them except Destin. Even better, it’s more of a hidden gem.

Since Florida tourists have so many options, Vero Beach never feels overwhelming to visit. Conversely, you may get a bit verklempt when you gaze at the luscious ocean waters and gentle waves pouring into shore. This place is an infinite loop of a motion picture, each frame more visually stimulating than the last.

The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Then, we have a different kind of beauty at the Grand Floridian, Disney World’s crown jewel. The planning team intended this resort to stand out from its peers, no easy task with the Polynesian right down the street.

So, Imagineers styled the Grand Floridian with a stately Victorian theme. Every building here exudes regal confidence and the kind of elegance that never goes out of style. No matter where your eyes roam at this resort, you’re admiring something magnificent. You’ll visit here for the luxury, but you won’t want to leave because of the scenic landscape.
