Which DVC Resorts Are Best to Buy Resale in Summer 2024?

Now is a great time to purchase a DVC resale contract!  Some resorts are selling at their lowest prices in the past year and have had few to no buybacks from Disney’s Right of First Refusal (ROFR) in 2024.  Here are the top three DVC resorts to purchase this summer.

Bay Lake Tower

As of July 2024, Bay Lake Tower has been selling at an average price of $133 per point.  That’s down from an average of $143 per point in July 2023.  Bay Lake Tower is also one of the DVC resorts that has not seen any ROFR activity so far in 2024.  The resort will begin its full refurbishment in September 2024.  With monorail access, a walking path to the Magic Kingdom, incredible theme park view villas, and refreshed rooms in the not-so-distant future, Bay Lake Tower is a great choice for a DVC home resort.  

Saratoga Springs

Saratoga Springs is another great buy this summer!  It is currently going for an average of $96 per point!  A DVC contract at under $100 per point is quite the deal, and compared to last July when Saratoga Springs contracts were going for an average of $112 per point, that is a significant savings.   As with Bay Lake Tower, Saratoga Springs has not had any ROFR activity this year.  With its close proximity to all the dining, shopping, and entertainment in Disney Springs and its beautifully refurbished rooms, Saratoga Springs is not one to miss.  

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Resale contracts at Animal Kingdom Lodge are currently selling at an average of $107 per point.  That’s $11 per point less than what it was selling for a year ago.  Animal Kingdom Lodge buybacks have been very low over the past year. The most recent ROFR activity for Animal Kingdom Lodge was in August 2023.  A unique perk of owning at Animal Kingdom Lodge (besides being able to enjoy the wonderful savanna views) is that it gives you the 11-month home resort booking advantage for both Jambo House and Kidani Village.  

Now is the time to jump on resale contracts for Bay Lake Tower, Saratoga Springs, and Animal Kingdom Lodge!  While each of these resorts has had little to no ROFR activity this year, that is about to change.  Disney Vacation Club has begun offering new incentives for direct purchases at these resorts.  Should Disney Vacation Club sell enough points at Bay Lake Tower, Saratoga Springs, and Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney may begin buying back more contracts during ROFR to obtain more points to sell.
