Why Now Is an Ideal Time to Buy DVC Resale

Now is a great time to buy a DVC resale contract!  Not only do you save thousands by buying resale, but there is so much value to staying at a Deluxe Resort in 2026, from extra time in the theme parks to a free dining promotion.  All of these benefits are available to both direct and resale DVC Members!

Early Theme Park Entry

As a guest at a Disney Resort, you can enter the theme parks 30 minutes prior to official park opening time!  While half an hour may not seem like a lot of time, it gives you a head start on getting in line for some of the most popular rides.  Early entry is good for your entire stay, including check-in and check-out day.

Extended Evening Theme Park Hours

Guests of Deluxe Disney Resorts, such as the DVC resorts, get to enjoy extended evening theme park hours!  These extra two hours in the parks are most commonly offered at EPCOT on Mondays and Magic Kingdom on Wednesdays though they are occasionally available at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Extended evening theme park hours even include some headliner attractions like TRON Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Free Kids Dining Plan Offer

Free dining plan promotions are usually restricted to room-only cash stays, but in 2026, the kids free dining plan is available for DVC stays!  With this offer, kids ages 3 to 9 get the dining plan for free when you purchase the dining plan for all the adults on your resort reservation.

There are two dining plans available for 2026.  There’s the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan for $55.53 per night for guests ages 10 and up (excluding taxes and fees) that includes 2 quick-service meals per night of stay, a snack or non-alcoholic drink per night of stay, and a resort-refillable drink mug.  Then there is the Disney Dining Plan for $91.82 per night for guests ages 10 and up (excluding taxes and fees) that includes 1 quick-service meal per night of stay, 1 table-service meal per night of stay, a snack or non-alcoholic drink per night of stay, and a resort-refillable drink mug.

Currently, the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan is $24.71 per child per night of stay, and the Disney Dining Plan is $30.56 per child per night of stay before taxes and fees, so the free dining promotion provides a significant savings if you have children in your travel party!

Free Waterpark Admission on Check-in Day

In Summer 2026, Disney Resort guests can visit Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach for free on their check-in day.  A great way to maximize this benefit is to book split stays. You’ll get free waterpark admission on the check-in day of each leg of your split stay!  Disney will announce more details on this benefit in the future, but it is subject to availability.

Early Access to Dining Reservations and More

As a Disney Resort guest, you can book dining for the length of your resort reservation at 60 days out from check-in.  For lightning lanes, you can purchase passes and select your attractions up to 7 days in advance of your stay.  This gives you an advantage over offsite guests who cannot purchase passes and make attraction selections until 3 days prior to their stay.

Disney Resort guests also get first access to purchase popular special event tickets for after hours events and holiday parties like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Jollywood Nights.
