Best Spots to Work Remotely Among the DVC Resorts

There’s the saying “make your vacation your vocation,” but sometimes you just need to get some work done during your Disney World vacation.  If you are looking for space beyond your DVC villa, you’ll find several great quiet spots for remote work.

The Breezeway at the Beach Club

You’ll find this sitting room on the first floor of the Beach Club Villas building.  With its soaring ceiling and large windows, the Breezeway feels airy and bright.  Its doors lead out to the Dunes Cove leisure pool, but it never feels very busy.  You’ll never have a hard time finding a spot to sit, especially with several different seating areas within the room.  It’s a great peaceful place to go when you need to focus.

Belle Vue Lounge at the BoardWalk

The Belle Vue Lounge is just off of the BoardWalk’s lobby, close to the Inn elevators.  While the quaint lounge serves as a bar from 4pm to midnight daily, during the daytime, the sitting room is rather empty.  You can choose to work at one of the comfy chairs indoors, or if you want to enjoy the weather outdoors, check out the verandah.  Here you’ll find more tables and chairs overlooking the Village Green.

The Voyageurs’ Lounge at Riviera

Off the Riviera lobby is the Voyageurs’ Lounge.  Surrounding the couches, tables, and chairs are display cases and book shelves filled with Disney memorabilia.  Although you can’t take any of the books off the shelves, you’ll find titles of art and architecture books that Walt Disney collected during his trip to Europe in the 1930s.  There are even fairytales that inspired Walt Disney animated films like Cinderella, Peter Pan, and Pinocchio and reproductions of items at the Walt Disney Archives and The Walt Disney Family Museum, such as a replica Mickey Mouse plush.

Voyageurs’ Lounge

The Voyageurs’ Lounge is right next door and is the perfect spot to grab a little pick-me-up, be it a coffee or pastry.

Carolwood Pacific Room at Boulder Ridge

Similar to the Voyageur’s Lounge, the Carolwood Pacific Room offers pieces of Disney history.  This cozy room is part of the Boulder Ridge lobby.  While this room echoes the theming of the Wilderness Lodge lobby, it’s smaller and quieter with much less foot traffic.  Along with a fireplace and comfortable seating, you’ll notice that the room has miniature train cars on display.  These two train cars are from the one-eighth scale steam railroad that used to travel along the “Fair Weather Route” through Walt Disney’s backyard in Los Angeles.

Terrace Gardens at the Polynesian

If beautiful views are your ideal workspace, the four terrace gardens at the Polynesian Island Tower are a great choice.  These gardens each have seating areas and their own unique themes inspired by a different island (Bora Bora, Hawai’i, Samoa, and Fiji).  The Bamboo Terrace Garden on the third floor and the Wave Break Terrace Garden on the fifth floor have the views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom.

Bamboo Terrace Garden

The Lava Rock Terrace Garden and Lagoon Reef Terrace Garden have views of the golf course, monorail, and front of the resort.  The Lava Rock and Lagoon Reef Terrace Gardens may not have the best views with the current construction, but they are very quiet during the daytime.  The one caveat is that the terrace gardens are only accessible to guests staying at the Island Tower.
