Disney Announces New Details about 2024 Flower & Garden Festival

Disney revealed several exciting new details about the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Most importantly, we just learned when the festival will close! Let’s talk about the new details about the Flower & Garden Festival opening next month.

The Flower & Garden Festival Will Last 90 Days

Disney made an odd announcement last year. It listed the start date for the 2024 version of EPCOT’s oldest festival, but it chose not to schedule the end date yet. This decision proved problematic for Disney Vacation Club members who plan their trips in advance.

This week, Disney confirmed that the Flower & Garden Festival will last 90 days. As promised, it will start on February 28th, just six weeks from now, and run through May 27th, 2024.

Of course, we all know what happens after that. The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will debut soon afterward.

Notably, the Flower & Garden Festival lasted into July last year. So, Food & Wine may start quite a bit earlier in 2024, but that’s speculation. Until Disney says something, we have a gap on the EPCOT festival calendar from the end of May until whenever Food & Wine debuts.

Disney Announces New Festival Topiaries

As part of a Disney Parks Blog announcement, Disney revealed new details about this year’s Flower & Garden exhibition. For starters, we’ll get some new topiaries. One of them will show Baby Groot holding up a cassette tape. You’ll find this installation near the Wonders of Xandar pavilion.

Overall, Disney has promised more than 70 topiaries at this year’s event, and Baby Groot won’t be the only new one. EPCOT’s newly opened World Celebration Gardens will also add a Figment topiary! At the Mexico pavilion, you’ll find Miguel and Coco as well. Finally, three characters from Wish – Asha, Star, and Valentino – will also appear as topiaries. So, that’s at least seven new topiaries for 2024!

Here Are the Dining Package Details

You may recall that recent concert series announcements have included more TBAs than not. So, it’s nice to see more finite scheduling here. Disney has maintained its recent practice of including some local Central Florida acts, which helps.

Still, please be aware that a few cancellations are inevitable. For example, Kevin Bacon and his brother couldn’t perform last year. It happens. You can track the updates on the official site

Disney has also confirmed this year’s Garden Rocks dining packages. You can book these reservations starting on February 6th. The restaurant options this year are:

  • Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
  • Biergarten Restaurant
  • Coral Reef Restaurant
  • Garden Grill Restaurant
  • Rose & Crown Dining Room
  • Le Cellier Steakhouse
  • Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Brews & Barbecue

Prices range from $36 per person at Regal Eagle to $78 per person for dinner at Akershus. Typically, Garden Rocks attendance is solid, but it doesn’t constantly sell out like DISNEY ON BROADWAY or the Candlelight Processional. Some musical artists WILL sell out, though. Please consider this reality when considering whether to splurge for a dining package.
