Lakeshore Lodge Officially Opens July 1, 2027
We’ve known that Lakeshore Lodge was targeting a summer 2027 opening, but now we finally have an official date when the lodge will open its doors to guests.
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will officially open July 1, 2027.
The new waterfront resort will be located along Bay Lake and will feature 967 guest rooms, making it one of the largest DVC resorts at Disney World.
Guests will also be just a short boat ride away from Magic Kingdom, with complimentary water transportation planned between the resort and the park.
But perhaps the biggest part of this latest announcement is that we finally know what the rooms will look like!

Lakeshore Lodge Lake Houses
We recently got our first detailed look at the Lake Houses during D23, and Disney has confirmed even more details.
The One-Bedroom Lake Houses will sleep up to five guests, while the Two-Bedroom Lake Houses will sleep up to eight.
Each Lake House will include:
- Private porch overlooking Bay Lake
- Full kitchen
- Washer and dryer
- Dramatic A-frame architecture
- Floor-to-ceiling windows
- Brother Bear-inspired artwork
- Northern Lights-inspired lighting in the primary bedroom
The Lake Houses have a fun Disney backstory, too. Imagineers designed them to feel like retreats where Disney artists have come to immerse themselves in nature and find inspiration for their work.
We recently took a much deeper dive into the Lake Houses, including why Brother Bear was chosen as their inspiration.

Duo Studios Take Inspiration From Encanto
Traveling solo or looking for a couples getaway? Lakeshore Lodge will offer Duo Studios designed specifically for one or two travelers.
The colorful rooms will sleep up to two guests and draw inspiration from the vibrant world of Encanto. Each Duo Studio will include a kitchenette, spa-like split bathroom, and queen-size pull-down bed.

The pull-down bed can conveniently tuck back into the wall during the day, giving guests more room to spread out.
The smaller room type could be an appealing option for DVC Members and guests who want a cozy stay on a beautiful property.

Deluxe Studios Bring the Woodland Charm of Bambi
The classic Disney film Bambi will serve as the inspiration for several of the more traditional DVC accommodations at Lakeshore Lodge, beginning with the Deluxe Studios.
Sleeping up to four guests, Deluxe Studios will feature warm natural materials and original Bambi concept artwork pulled from the Walt Disney Archives.

Each room will also include:
- A kitchenette
- Private balcony
- Comfortable seating area
- Original Disney archival artwork
- Nature-inspired materials and design
Disney has continued to emphasize the idea of seeing nature through the eyes of its artists, and these rooms will bring some of that history directly into the accommodations.

One- and Two-Bedroom Villas Continue the Bambi Story
Members looking for a little more room to spread out will also find the familiar One- and Two-Bedroom Villa options.
Both room types continue the Bambi inspiration found in the Deluxe Studios, using soft earth tones, subtle forest motifs, and artwork reflecting the natural landscapes of the film.

One-Bedroom Villas
The One-Bedroom Villas will sleep up to five guests and include the amenities many DVC Members have come to expect from a larger villa, including:
- Full kitchen
- Washer and dryer
- Private patio
- Spacious living and dining areas

Two-Bedroom Villas
Two-Bedroom Villas will sleep up to nine guests while offering the same full kitchen, washer and dryer, private patio, and expanded living spaces.
While the design will be brand new, these accommodations should feel familiar to longtime DVC Members who enjoy the space and conveniences that come with staying in a larger villa.

Three-Bedroom Grand Villas Are Inspired by Fantasia
Planning a family reunion? Lakeshore Lodge’s spacious Three-Bedroom Grand Villas will sleep up to 12 guests and were designed with larger and multigenerational families in mind.

©Disney
The Grand Villas will draw their artistic inspiration from Disney Animation’s Fantasia and include:
- Multiple bathrooms
- Full kitchen
- Expansive gathering spaces
- Private patio
- Premium water views

Fantasia is a vibrant choice for these accommodations, especially considering just how much visual inspiration Disney Imagineers can pull from the animated classic. Combined with the premium Bay Lake views and extra space, the Grand Villas are shaping up to be one of the resort’s most impressive room options.

Resort Studios Bring Pocahontas Into the Rooms
In addition to the more traditional DVC accommodations, Lakeshore Lodge will offer Resort Studios inspired by the natural landscapes of Pocahontas.
Standard Resort Studios will sleep up to four guests, while Resort Studio King rooms will accommodate up to two guests.
The earthy rooms will include carved wood paneling with artistic nods to Grandmother Willow, along with scenic murals inspired by the sweeping landscapes seen throughout the film.
Club Level and The Artist’s Nest
Select resort accommodations will also come with access to The Artist’s Nest, an elevated concierge lounge perched above the treetops.
Guests with Club Level access can enjoy personalized service, complimentary refreshments, and sweeping views of Walt Disney World. The elevated location will even provide views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.
It adds another accommodation experience to Lakeshore Lodge that feels distinctly different from a traditional DVC villa stay.

Hidden Willow Presidential Suite Offers an Elevated Stay
For guests looking to go all out, Disney has also revealed the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite.
Sleeping up to six guests, the suite will include:
- Two bedrooms
- Two full bathrooms
- Full kitchen
- Washer and dryer
- Access to The Artist’s Nest
- Bay Lake views
- Views of Magic Kingdom fireworks
By day, guests can take in the peaceful views of Bay Lake. At night, they’ll have a pretty spectacular vantage point for watching the fireworks over Magic Kingdom.
