DVC Resale Average Sales Prices for October 2022

This article features the average sales price of contracts categorized by resort and month sold from October 2021 through October 2022 by DVC Resale Market (DVCRM).

Our goal for this article is to provide great directional information for anyone considering a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resale purchase or just wanting to satisfy a general curiosity of prices and trends.

How to Evaluate DVC Resale Prices

The price of a resort can vary based on the size of the contract in points, the current point availability of the contract (i.e., points current, banked, and borrowed), as well as other various factors (i.e., extended Old Key West contracts, subsidized dues contracts, etc.).

For example, contracts that are smaller and have higher points availabilities tend to sell for more than the average price per point and vice versa.

Buying Opportunities Emerge Ahead of Holiday Season

Disney Vacation Club resale prices have softened for most Disney Vacation Club properties this month, with the blended average for all resorts dropping from $146 per point to $144 per point. These great prices will likely not last long, however, as a rumored price increase is on the way for direct Disney Vacation Club sales. Direct DVC pricing increases are likely to trickle down and inflate resale costs in the coming months after they take effect on December 4th.

The holiday season marks one of the most popular times for those looking to purchase Disney Vacation Club, and the current market will make shopping for that perfect contract even more competitive. With prices expected to rise in the near future, now is the time to take advantage of these great deals on Disney Vacation Club resales, which is why the DVC Resale Market has rolled out an incredible offer this month.

“Start With Magic” DVC Resale Market Promotion

With many DVC Resale contracts on the market currently having 2022 points available, DVC Resale Market has launched an amazing promotion called “Start With Magic” this month, giving buyers more flexibility in how they use those points.

Starting November 1st, certain DVC Resale Market listings with 2022 points are eligible for enhanced redemption options once purchased:

  • Starting With Magic – Option 1: Keep the 2022 points included in the sale and use them for stays as you would like. Plus pay no 2022 dues!
  • Starting With Magic – Option 2: Exchange your 2022 points for cash back through our team at the DVC Rental Store for $13-15 per point!
  • Starting With Magic – Option 3: Swap your 2022 points for Walt Disney World Park Tickets through our team at the DVC Rental Store!

These fantastic options are only available for a limited time only, so be sure to browse our eligible contracts and take advantage of this offer before it’s gone.

Disney's Old Key West Resort

You may notice a new kid on the block when reviewing this month’s average price charts!  One of the most frequent requests I’ve received in the past year is whether we could display data comparing Old Key West 2042 contracts and extended Old Key West 2057 contracts.  You asked, and we’ve delivered!

Old Key West will now be reported as two separate resorts, with the data reflected on these charts moving to this model effective July 2022.  We hope you enjoy this new insight into Old Key West and that it helps in your buying and selling decisions!
