What’s the one thing that can make a Hawaiian vacation even more memorable? Experience a splash of Disney magic at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.

DVC Resale Market has ranked the resort as one of the best values among DVC properties. Here are four reasons DVC members love Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.

Room Features

Aulani signifies the ultimate in Disney Vacation Club resort destinations. You’re escaping the real world and leaving your troubles behind for a while. You’ll know that you’re somewhere special the moment you enter your room.

Aulani hotel room options start with standard Hotel Rooms, an option that DVC members can book. Studios are also available, as are one- and two-bedroom villas and three-bedroom Grand Villas.

Hotel Rooms are actually a bit larger than studios. You’ll enjoy 382 square feet of space with the option of either two queen beds or one king and a queen sleeper sofa.

Studios contain 356 square feet of space and come with a queen bed plus a queen sleeper sofa. Both room types come with a mini-fridge and coffee maker and sleep four. Obviously, you’ll get more kitchenette amenities like a sink, pots and pans, dishwasher, dinnerware, and microwave.

One-bedroom villas basically double the room’s space to 756 square feet and sleep five, while two-bedroom villas offer 1,125 square feet and sleep nine. Finally, the Grand Villas cover 2,174 square feet and sleep 12. So, you can bring all your friends to Hawaii with you!

When you book these villas, you gain a washer/dryer unit as an amenity. So, for an extended stay, it’s definitely worth the spare DVC Points if you have enough.

The other room feature to understand at Aulani is an external one. DVC members book various room types that determine the view. You’ll enjoy your choice of Standard, Island, Poolside Gardens, and Ocean View.

Dining

Polynesian cuisine is among the tastiest in the world, especially for those of us who love the combination of sweet and savory. You’ll find many options that fall into this bucket at Aulani.

The most recognizable option is ‘AMA ‘AMA, a Hawaiian fine dining experience with a hidden bonus. This open-air restaurant provides a panoramic view of Ko Olina Beach and the surrounding resort scenery.

Other Table Service meals include Makahiki, The Bounty of the Islands, which features a breathtaking tropical backdrop:

The beloved KA WA’A – A Lū‘au could best be described as as the upscale version of the now-defunct Spirit of Aloha at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Here’s a video of the event:

Off the Hook, the poolside lounge, includes outdoor seating near the Waikolohe Valley pool area. When you close your eyes and imagine a tropical vacation, it looks a lot like this spot.

You’ll also discover plenty of other Quick Service eateries and some dessert/snack options. Plus, you’re on the island of Oahu, one of the culinary hot spots of the Pacific Ocean!

Resort Amenities

A host of fantastic amenities will ensure that you always feel pampered and relaxed. Aulani hosts Aunty’s Beach House, where kids aged 5-12 will enjoy such activities as arts, crafts, games, and themed activities.

While the kids are having a blast, mom and dad will enjoy date night at the spa and a walk along the beach. Aulani’s white-sand beaches are among the most beautiful on the South Seas and have even won awards!

For family fun or a couples activity, consider renting beach equipment like paddleboards, snorkeling gear, and even beachside Casabella loungers.

You’ll also discover character greetings throughout the hotel grounds. Donald Duck, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Pluto appear regularly. Others like Chip ‘n’ Dale, Duffy, Moana, Shellie May, and Stitch show up occasionally. Lately, Moana and Stitch have been more frequent guests, though.

Aulani operates several stores that tourists will love. Once you’ve emptied your wallet on Stitch merchandise, you should explore the grounds.

A treasure trove of other amenities is readily available during your visit. Aulani is an award-winning resort chock full of the features you’d expect from a luxury family destination.

Resort Activities

The Aulani campus hosts several enticing activities. The Mo’olelo Fire Pit Storytelling by Uncle and the Menehune Adventure Trail offer unforgettable experiences.

Stargazers can also gaze through the massive telescope available at ‘Imi Loa Nāa Hōkū (Explore the Stars). It provides a stunning view of the Polynesian Islands and the skies above.

Notably, another singular opportunity requires a trip off campus. Aulani guests can partake in history by visiting Pearl Harbor. The official website even sells a ticket package for the Pearl Harbor Excursion.

Prices start at $51.77 for this activity, but it’s worth any cost. You tour Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and ride a Navy shuttle boat to the USS Arizona Memorial.

Either way, you’ll have ample opportunity to play. If you check out the resort activity calendar, you’ll see that you can vacation at your own pace, whether you’re looking to fill your schedule or just sunbathe on the beach.
