DVC Vacations in February 2027: What You Need to Know

Your seven-month window is about to open for a February 2027 DVC vacation. So, you should be thinking about what you want to do, presuming you didn’t already do so at the 11-month window. Here’s what you need to know about DVC vacations in February 2027. 

The Festival of the Arts Continues

We’ll begin with two events that I mentioned in January. The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2027. This exhibition started with humble aspirations but has blossomed into one of the most popular events on EPCOT’s annual calendar. 

The DISNEY ON BROADWAY concert series always sells out at America Gardens Theatre, and the photo ops are exquisite. Also, some of the foods and beverages here have become annual staples. The Pop Eats tomato soup can tribute to Andy Warhol is especially popular. These are just a few examples of EPCOT’s most unique festival. 

The 2026 version of the event ended on Monday, February 23rd, Should Disney maintain the same calendar pattern, the 2027 festival will close on February 22nd. You’ll want to check for confirmation once Disney confirms the official dates, though. I’d hate to screw up anyone’s vacation plans. 

The Lunar New Year Continues 

At Disney California Adventure, the 2027 Lunar New Year will last longer than you may expect. The Chinese New Year officially starts on February 6th, 2027. In 2026, DCA’s Lunar New Year festivities ran for a full month, ending on February 22nd. 

The 2027 version may start and end earlier, as the official Lunar New Year is 11 days sooner. Again, pay attention to Disneyland’s news updates about the event. Then, adjust your trip accordingly as needed. Should something go wrong, please remember that you can always find vacation options on DVC Rental Store, too.

Disney World Hosts a Marathon

Walt Disney World starts 2027 with a bang, hosting two runDisney events during the first two months. I previously discussed the 2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, which begins on January 6th. 

More recently, tickets went on sale for the 2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. If you missed the drama, Disney’s first attempt went poorly. So, runDisney delayed ticket sales for a full week, putting them on sale on Monday, June 8th. At the time of publication, they hadn’t sold out yet, but you should act quickly. All these events book completely…and quickly!

The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend consists of the following events:

• Disney Princess 5K — $125 per racer
• Disney Princess 10K — $175 per racer
• Disney Princess Half-Marathon — $269 per racer
• Disney Princess Fairy Tale — $449 per racer
• Disney Princess Yoga — $127 per participant

Note that the Yoga takes place on March 1st. All the other events occur during late February, with the first event on February 26th. Disney lists this runDisney event as beginning on February 25th, but there’s no race on that date. 

Super Bowl Fever Will Take Hold 

In case you haven’t heard, ESPN will host the Super Bowl for the first time ever. Super Bowl LXI will take place on February 14th, 2027. I envision plenty of relationships ending on that date, as partners realize what’s more important between them and football. 

Anyway, Disney has already started the advertising campaign for ESPN’s big night. The company is running lots of commercials like this one:

Importantly, the host site for Super Bowl LXI is SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. In case you don’t know, that stadium is exactly 31.6 miles from Disneyland Park. You can tell where I’m going with this. The “I’m going to Disneyland” ads will be more honest than ever. Like ten percent of the people at the game that night will head to Main Street, U.S.A. the following day.

In 2026, we got this gem of Sam Darnold and Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III riding Mad Tea Party the calmest way possible:

I can assure you that Disney will try to get as many players from the winning team as possible to visit the park. On the other coast, I’m confident that Walt Disney World will celebrate ESPN’s Super Bowl as much as possible, too. I have no idea what form that will take yet, but Disney’s marketing team has already gone into overdrive. Super Bowl Fever must be contagious.

The Holidays Are Popular 

Finally, I probably don’t need to tell you this, but two holidays occur in February. They’re both wildly popular for DVC members.

Valentine’s Day provides the perfect backdrop for loving couples to spend a weekend at a Disney theme park. Conveniently, the holiday falls on a Sunday this year, allowing for a three-day weekend (or longer, if your schedule allows). 

I say this because President’s Day falls on February 15th, 2027. So, you’re really getting a two-fer by booking a Disney holiday getaway. Should that interest you, please be ready to book at your seven-month window. In fact, if your home resort is at Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort, you should snag a reservation during your 11-month window.
