Which Disney World DVC Resorts Have the Best Fireworks Views?

Disney vacations are always magical, but perhaps there is no more magical way to end your day than with fireworks from your resort–even better when you can see them from your room!  Here’s a look at which Disney World DVC resorts have fireworks views and how to best enjoy them.

Which Resorts Have Specific Theme Park Views?

There are three DVC resorts that offer Theme Park View as a specific booking category: Bay Lake Tower, the Polynesian, and the Grand Floridian.  Theme Park View rooms are the most expensive booking categories at these resorts in terms of point value, but they do guarantee fireworks views of the Magic Kingdom.

At Bay Lake Tower, there are Theme Park View rooms for each room type.  At the Polynesian, you’ll find the Theme Park View rooms only at the new Polynesian Island Tower, specifically for the Deluxe Studios and larger villas.  (There are no Theme Park View Duo Studios.)  At the Grand Floridian, there are Theme Park View Resort Studios in the Big Pine Key Building.

While all 3 resorts offer beautiful views, some consider the Polynesian as having the best view since it has a more centered view of the Magic Kingdom.  Views from Bay Lake Tower are more to the side closest to Tomorrowland, and those from the Grand Floridian are also more at an angle.

Which Other Booking Categories May Have Partial Fireworks Views?

Among several DVC resorts, there are other booking categories that can sometimes offer fireworks views.  These views are very dependent on which specific room you are assigned and are not guaranteed even if you place a room request.

      • Some Resort View Rooms on the North side of Bay Lake Tower have a good fireworks view.
      • Most Boardwalk View rooms have a good view of the higher Luminous fireworks in EPCOT.  The angle is best as you go towards the end of the resort by what was formerly Jelly Rolls.

      • Some Resort View and some Preferred View rooms in the original DVC building have partial fireworks views.
  • Polynesian – Preferred View or Premium View
    • Preferred View Deluxe Studios on the second and third floors of the Moorea longhouse have clear fireworks views.  Those on the first floor are facing the right way but partially obstructed by the Bora Bora Bungalows.
    • All Bora Bora Bungalows are Preferred View and sit along the Seven Seas Lagoon and offer beautiful views of the Magic Kingdom.
    • Premium View is a booking category specific to the Duo Studios. These rooms have at least a partial view of the Seven Seas Lagoon and therefore typically have a partial fireworks view.
  • Riviera – Resort View
    • Some Resort View rooms have partial views of Luminous in EPCOT.

Which Resorts Have Piped in Music?

Within the Room

When you’re staying at Bay Lake Tower, you can get the fireworks soundtrack through your TV.  Tune in to channel 105 to hear it.  If staying at the Polynesian Bora Bora Bungalows, you can pipe the music into the speakers by the plunge pool on the private deck.

Throughout Common Areas

Resorts like the Grand Floridian and Polynesian have the soundtrack piped into their common areas and certain restaurants.  For example, you’ll hear the music near Gasparilla Island Grill or at Narcoosee’s at the Grand Floridian.  At the Polynesian, you’ll hear the music from ‘Ohana, Island Tower Terrace Gardens, and the beaches.  At Bay Lake Tower/the Contemporary, the music is played at California Grill, Top of the World Lounge, and the observation deck just outside of the Contemporary.  From Riviera, you’ll hear the Luminous soundtrack at Toppolino’s Terrace.
