Let’s Talk about the Rooms at Disney’s Beach Club Villas

Booking a Disney Vacation Club Villa often proves challenging due to the sheer volume of potential reservations. You’ll face many choices in where to stay, which room size you prefer, and which room view best fits your vacation needs.

Thankfully, some DVC resorts offer more straightforward booking options than others. Let’s talk about the rooms at Disney’s Beach Club Villas, where three sizes fit all.

Let’s Talk about the Studios

At Beach Club, your options boil down to small, medium, and large, although it’s really closer to medium, large, and extra-large. The “medium” room type in this scenario is a Studio.

Longtime members of the DVC program have stayed in Beach Club Studios many times by now. It’s inevitable and also something of a privilege since this resort is so lovely and convenient.

Inside the Studio, you’ll discover the typical east-west room layout with a few surprising twists. For example, when you enter the room, you’ll discover a three-panel mirror facing you. Beneath this structure, you’ll notice a shelf and a coat rack.

Once you turn left, you’re three steps away from the kitchenette, which includes a mini-fridge, a sink, a coffee maker, a microwave, and the usual accompaniments like paper towels and coffee.

Across from the kitchenette is the master bathroom’s dressing area. It features another mirror and sink, an extendable dressing mirror, a towel holder, and toiletries.

In short, you’ve taken five steps into the room and already discovered most of what you’ll need during your stay. The efficiency of Beach Club Studios is vastly underrated, in my opinion.

Overall, the Studio consists of 356 square feet of cleverly used space. While the theming here is mostly subtle, you’ll find Donald Duck rowing on the shower curtain, napping by the Beach Club lighthouse in a dropdown bed mural, and dozing beside his three nephews on the beach across from Disney’s BoardWalk. It’s quite charming, really.

The underlying strength of this Studio is that the bedroom/living room area is large and open. So, you can really kick back.

Let’s Talk about the One-Bedroom Villas

The primary difference with a One-Bedroom Villa is that you’re getting a more spacious room with a washer/dryer unit and a full-sized kitchen area. Specifically, these Villas are 726 square feet or more than double the size of the Studios. And you can definitely tell that the Villas are twice as big. Again, you’ll open the door and immediately face a wall mirror. You’ll find a coat closet on one side. Then, you’ll head in the other direction and enter one of the two main spaces.

Most likely, you’ll walk toward the living room coach. If so, you’ll walk past a dining room sitting area on one side and the full kitchen on the other. I quite like the sitting area here, which resembles restaurants where one side of the seats is against the wall.

The kitchen here features a full-sized oven and refrigerator, plus a microwave, toaster, and coffeemaker. If you ever lived in a one- or two-bedroom apartment, this kitchen is probably a bit larger than your previous home.

As for the living room, this is the Villa’s hangout area. You’ll find an HDTV above what I can only describe as an old-school TV console dresser. This piece of furniture offers plenty of storage plus USB charging ports.

You’ll also find a couch and coffee table opposite the HDTV.  Yes, it’s a pulldown, and, like the Studios, the wall art features Donald and his nephews.

When you head toward the bedroom/bathroom, you’ll find the washer/dryer unit. The master bathroom is quite roomy and features a walk-in shower. There’s also a full bathtub in a different area that includes a door for some privacy.

In the master bedroom, the design is somehow open but efficient. The bedding takes up a lot of the room, but there’s a workstation/dresser.

Also, your bed faces the HDTV here, along with a dresser that includes even more storage. You can definitely unpack your suitcase when you stay here.

Let’s Talk about the Two-Bedroom Villas

The Two-Bedroom Villas at Beach Club represents the most spacious rooms for DVC members. These suites include 1,083 square feet of space, making them ideal for up to eight guests.

In terms of design, I’ve mostly described it already. Stylistically, it’s a combination of the One-Bedroom Villa and the Studio.

The primary difference with a Two-Bedroom Villa is that when you’re standing between the kitchen and the hangout area, you can walk in a new direction.

That section of the suite is the guest bedroom, which is effectively a Studio added to the One-Bedroom Villa. You’ll find some differences, particularly in the bathroom. Also, the guest bedroom possesses just a small sitting area.

Beyond these slight differences, a Two-Bedroom Villa combines the best of both worlds of the other two room types. You’re booking it when you love them, but your traveling party needs/wants a bit more space.
